Spoke & Word Books Grand Opening Weekend!

Join us for a weekend of books and community for our Grand Opening Weekend on Saturday October 21st and Sunday October 22nd. We’ve been building towards this moment for months and can’t wait to welcome you into the bookshop!

Grand Opening Day – Saturday, October 21st, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Join us on Saturday, October 21st, for our grand opening festivities. At 10:00 AM we’ll officially open our doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a spread of Hawaiian pastries from 808 Cheesecakes and coffee from Wind Horse Coffee. Explore our carefully curated collection of new and used books for adults and children, with a special focus on uncommonly told stories. You’ll also have the opportunity to enjoy work by local artist Daren Todd, vintage treasures and indoor plants from Tiger’s Eye Finds, and vibrant floral arrangements from Flower Club PDX.

Children’s Day – Sunday, October 22nd, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

On Sunday, October 22nd, we’re celebrating Children’s Day with a very special guest: Ceasar the No Drama Llama! From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Ceasar will be at the bookstore, eagerly waiting to greet children, sign copies of his book, and share hugs and pets. You can purchase copies of his book, Ceasar the No Drama Llama, at the shop to get it ‘signed’ by Ceasar himself!
